SARAH-JANE DUFF

Sarah-Jane is the owner operator of plus size fashion label [Lost and Led Astray] LaLA. With over 10 years experience working with FAT bodies, dressing them, talking about them and a life time of having one - Sarah-Jane feels like her life work is to change the perception people have on their bodies. Daily she discusses the politics around the body and dreamt of creating FAT YOGA NZ to provide a safe space, a space to move your body, a space to talk about your body and a place where you could see other bodies that looked like yours.  A community of people working to erase self judgement.  A community where you are enough who you are, as you are.  

“Inspired by the Fat activism movement, we wanted to create a place where people could come together feel safe and look after themselves. As a fatty, I know my body moves and makes shapes differently, so I set out to make my own class, a class that catered to me, my body with other bodies like mine next to me.” - Sarah-Jane Duff

KRISTINA CAVIT MNZN

Kristina Cavit is passionate about making yoga accessible for everyone. She loves teaching beginners & creating a safe, welcoming fun space - focusing on how yoga poses feel, rather than how they look. Kristina loves hatha yoga, yin yoga and yin yang yoga. She is also a 200 hour certified teacher trained in vinyasa yoga.

Kristina is the Founder & Director of The Kindness Institute, an organisation that helps improve mental health and leadership capabilities through Mindfulness, The Work of Byron Katie and Yoga. Kristina has spent the past 8 years working with marginalised communities facing stress and trauma in New Zealand and around the world.
